她曾在英国学习传媒与电影制作，后在北京电影学院进修导演。她先后涉足并制作电影及多部优秀的短片、广告、MV及宣传片。她自编自导自制的电影短片曾入围多项国内外奖项。
首部担任制片人、导演及编剧的长片电影《 只是一次偶然的旅行 》荣获第37届华沙国际电影节竞赛单元自由精神奖、第29届EnergaCAMERIMAGE电影摄影艺术国际电影节国际新锐摄影师金蛙奖、第9届巴塞罗那亚洲电影节Discoveries竞赛单元最佳影片；入围第50届鹿特丹国际电影节主竞赛单元、第22届东京 FILMeX 国际电影节主竞赛单元、第30届年因斯布鲁克国际电影节全球视野单元、第11届Aesthetica短片电影节剧情长片单元、第39届都灵国际电影节Incubator单元、第45届哥德堡国际电影节Visionaries单元、第44届法国克雷泰伊国际女性电影节国际竞赛单元、第39届德国多特蒙德/科隆国际妇女电影节首部长片竞赛单元； 并受邀参加第50届纽约 New Directors New Films（新导演/新电影）电影节展映、第40届温哥华国际电影节Altered States单元展映、第03届中国与葡萄牙语国家电影展、2022年都柏林国际电影节展映、第02届渥太华国际电影节展映，第9届德国慕尼黑华语电影节展映以及第24届上海国际电影节首映盛典单元，该片于2021年6月18日院线上映。
Queena Li studied communication and film production in York St. John University, UK. She later studied film directing in Beijing Film Academy. She has been involved in the production of films, shorts, TV commercials, music videos and film trailers. She has produced shorts with multiple domestic and international film festival recognitions.
Bipolar, her first feature-length film, was written, directed and produced by herself. It has won the Free Spirit award of the 37th Warsaw International Film Festival, the Best Cinematographers’ Debut of 29th EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival and the Best Film in Discoveries section of 9th Asian Film Festival Barcelona. It was nominated for the Tiger Competition of 50th International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Main Competition of 22nd Tokyo FILMeX International Film Festival, the Worldwide Visions of 30th International Film Festival Innsbruck, the Narrative Feature Section of 11th Aesthetica Short Film Festival, the Incubator Section of 39th Torino Film Festival, the Visionaries Section of 45th Göteborg Film Festival, the International Competition (Narrative Feature Films) of 44th edition of Festival International de Films de Femmes de Créteil and the International Debut Feature Film Competition of 39th Internationales Frauen* Film Fest Dortmund+Köln. It also officially has been selected for the 50th New Directors/New Films, the Altered States Section of 40th Vancouver International Film Festival, the “Contemporary China & Portuguese-speaking Films” of the 3rd China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Film Festival, the Official Selection of 2022 Dublin International Film Festival, the Official Selection 2nd edition of the International Film Festival of Ottawa, 9th Munich Chinese Film Festival, and the SIFF GALA of 24th Shanghai International Film Festival.Bipolar was released in Chinese cinemas on 18 June, 2021.
